Young Hungry Free's Warehouse Sale: RAVE

Hey there!

I have been anticipating Young Hungry Free's warehouse sale for about a month now and I'm pretty satisfied. I won't be blogging about my buys in this post, but I'll feature them soon in my other ootd posts when I go for events in the near future :)!

So I actually got to know of the warehouse sale because I did an apparel loan from YHF for my minimalist fashion article to be published in HYPE magazine, so keep a look out for it as well! Clara and Ivory from YHF were really friendly during the loan so I'm really grateful for them. Of course, the boss, Winnie was also really nice when I met her previously.

Anyway, the warehouse sale was small but adequate I guess? Like it wasn't too small with lack of variety nor was it too big that nobody could shop finish. So I guess it was a good amount to work with. There were free Strongbow apple ciders (the same one from SGFW if you remember), very amazing churros from Churros Factory and juice! There was also a photo booth where you can take insta pics and tag them with #ravewithyhf and it will appear on two screens where you can select them to be printed. It was pretty cool but it didn't work for Joelle and me but thank god it worked for Stefanie's account! So we got it printed and there was a 10% discount code so yeah! They are really innovative.

They had cool reflective balloons that are so picture friendly

Cool reflective tags too

Strongbow apple ciders that we spammed (I drank 3 cups)

Amazing quality

FREE BUT SO AMAZING

Super nice Clara who's our mass comm senior!

#girlsquad Me, Stefanie, Joelle and Ashley

Waited for this for forever

Kinda looks like The Editor's Market right? Picture from YHF's Instagram account.
So for the first 100 people that spends $100 for each day, they would receive a goodie bag that contains a YHF water bottle, headband, bottle of tequila, $20 Uber card, Zouk pass (YAY!!!), Sticky Fingers card and basically thats it! I'm not sure if the earlier people had more stuff in their goodie bags? But I'm contented with mine hahaha (mostly because of the Uber card and Zouk pass).

What's in the goodie bag!!! Sorry for the bad lighting, shot this at night

I really enjoyed myself! Partly because of the company also... Hopefully there will be more sales like these coming up!

Game of Thrones Season 5 Finale | Thoughts and Views

Hey!

WARNING: If you haven't watched the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones, please exit! Unless you don't mind being spoiled :-)

Well, this season has definitely been a roller coaster of devastation but I will never be able to give up this series no matter how bad it becomes, simply because I'm hooked and overly attached to the characters.

For the season finale, the technical work and production was fantastic (as usual) but in terms of storyline and how the characters turned out at the end, it was just truly disappointing.

Let's begin with the more redeeming factors first before diving into the disappointing parts:

1. Cersei's Walk of Shame

I count this as a redeeming point of the show because I've always hated how Cersei manipulates and screws everything up because of her selfishness. Since season 1, she has been such a nasty person. She is not even sorry for anything. There has been no guilt at all. I mean come on, she enjoyed Ned Stark's beheading, she clearly enjoyed watching Oberyn Martell's head explode in Mountain's hands (urgh I hate that guy) and she definitely doesn't care about what other people say about her incest with Jaime, she definitely doesn't care about what the Gods think as well, I mean, she practically lied in front of them to the High Sparrow.

But, the Walk of Shame was extremely embarrassing and saddening to watch. As much as I hate Cersei, it was quite sad for her. I mean, not only did she get locked up without food for like I don't know, weeks? She got her hair snipped off, her body tossed around and finally walking down naked, with her feet bleeding and everyone throwing shit at her. Well not literally shit, but nasty stuff at her and people flashing at her calling her very nasty names.

I felt bad for her, I really did. But I think she deserved it and the Walk of Shame really helped to balance out the evil she has done. So, I'm glad that karma came back around for her.

But I was quite scared after seeing a resurrected Mountain (Ser Gregor Clegane) who's the sworn knight of House Lannister. I am legit scared like, now that he's a zombie, I don't think he can ever be killed? I'm pretty sure Cersei will use the crap out of him oh dear. We'll see in season 6.

2. Myranda dies, Theon and Sansa escapes

YES. Theon Greyjoy is back. He is no longer the timid-stricken Reek anymore. He is also a character that I despised in the earlier seasons but after all that he's been through with the nasty and torturous Ramsay Bolton, I'm glad that he's had enough. So he pushed Myranda off the ledge and she fell to her death. It felt pretty awesome considering how Theon saved Sansa from getting shot by Myranda. After that, Theon and Sansa managed to escape the compound and I'm super excited for them because they are finally free of the Boltons.

3. Arya kills Meryn Trant

Seeing Meryn torture and rape little girls was so disgusting but, once Arya took off her mask, she transformed into such a badass. She used a small but sharp knife and stabbed Meryn in the eyes, skull, chest, stomach, and lastly, slitting his throat slowly.

Now for the disappointing parts:

1. Arya goes blind

So after the glorious murder of Meryn, Jaqen punishes her for killing someone who is related to her past because she was supposed to be ready to be a faceless man and not someone who still clings on to her past. So in return, Arya starts to lose her vision and went blind.

2. Stannis' failure to claim Winterfell

So after Stannis found out that half of his men fled the camp with his horses, he still decided to carry on to Winterfell. It was such a dumb move. Plus, his wife, Selyse hung herself from a tree. Aren't these signs that he should stop trying to invade and go back to the Wall??? He should have listened to Davos way earlier when he told him they wouldn't be able to survive the winter without enough supplies. Thank God he's alive and well at the Wall. But Stannis dies in the hands of Brienne. What a twist.

Also, Melisandre fled to the Wall as well. But this will be continued with the next point.

3. JON SNOW DIES

The last scene ends with Jon Snow lying in a pool of blood after being stabbed multiple times by his 'brothers' of the Night's Watch. He was lured by his squire, Olly, to his death. They all really disliked him because of forming allies with the Wildlings.

I was so sad... Why can't they see that he's trying his best to get more living humans to fight the White Walkers... Probably because they haven't seen the frightening army of White Walkers.

Additional points:

So after he dies, I was quite worried as to what will happen to his body? Half of me thought, maybe a the Night's King will appear and raise him as a White Walker.. Considering how the Night's King was staring at him so fondly in episode 8. But the other half of me thought maybe Melisandre will raise him from the dead because after all, Stannis is dead and Jon Snow is probably Azor Ahai and is the only one that can save the world from being taken over by the White Walkers.

The writers cannot simply let Jon Snow die without coming back. He is such an important character so I'm positive he will come back to life.

Anyway, I didn't include everything. Like Dany being deserted on the Great Grass Sea (???) and being surrounded by tribal people on horses (possibly the Dothraki people? brings back memories doesn't it). Tbh, she shouldn't have took a stroll without Drogon by her side, you never know if they are friends or foe.

Also, Myrcella is probably at the brink of death after being kissed (poisoned) by Ellaria Sand. Myrcella is so innocent though, but because of what her mother has done, she has to face the consequences.

Conclusion:

Overall, this season has been a very eventful one but the finale wasn't as epic as the previous seasons. But all in all, I still enjoyed it. I really hope Dany claims more power and Jon Snow comes back to life. Also, Bran Stark needs to come back in season 6 with his three-eyed raven stuff. His power is really useful.

Hmm... I wonder what Ramsay will do after he finds out his pet Reek and his wife Sansa escaped. Plus his mistress dead. Shit is going to go down man.

But yeah, hope you enjoyed this season as much as I did but I really hope the good characters finally gets a more happier life? But yeah, this is Game of Thrones, everything is unexpected. So, let's brace ourselves for season 6 that's coming out in the winter :-) !

Haji Lane x Chomp chomp Day

Hey there!

So the 'holidays' are finally here (you would know why they are in inverted commas)! Decided to meet up with my girl squad for Chomp chomp and a lil shopping at Haji Lane.

Haji Lane

Met up with Stefanie and Joelle at Haji Lane where Joelle was already trying on Soon Lee's clothing because she had some vouchers to use. So while waiting for about half an hour, because I came half an hour late (poor Stefanie had to wait for an hour), I went to look around and found very lovely books around the store and eventually purchased '100 Ideas That Changed Fashion'.

The content was so bizarre and amazing like, I could see myself reading this book and using information here for my future feature writing stuff. Really love it. There were other fashion books as well but not as practical as this one.

Picture from www.fashionmagazine.com

After what seemed like 10 years in Soon Lee, we tried to shop a little but didn't find anything awesome so we didn't buy anything. But I managed to pick up the #200 issue of Juice. Their content is pretty amazing for a free magazine. The #200 issue is like 3 times thicker too! I highly recommend you to get a copy too!

We strolled and strolled and found this amazing alley with pretty walls so we decided to set up a ootd camp there. Hehehe poor Stefanie had to hold our stuff because we were so engrossed. But anyway, here are the shots (shot by Joelle):

Give me the strength to carry on

Sunglasses: Talisman, Necklace and Arm bands: Lovisa, Watch: Casio, Bag: Lyn Accs, Top: Temt, Pants: Store from Platinum Mall in Bangkok, Sandals: The Editor's Market

I love my Mom's handbag

Chomp chomp

I was really excited for CC because I super love grilled and BBQ stuff plus because of my braces, I absolutely love stingray because it not only tastes super good, it is also super easy to eat for me. Not to mention, my family actually went to East Coast like 3 days ago to eat the exact same food. But whatever, I just couldn't get enough of it. Plus, the company was great! Hahahaha so much fun and laughter with ma squad.

Here are the pictures! Sorry if its pixelated and such because of low light and that it was sent via Whatsapp.

Before the kill
From left: Stefanie, Cheryl, Joanna, Joelle, me, Ashley

I'm salivating right now

Huge drinks

After the kill

Super duper happy after eating all the food. Joanna couldn't finish like 1/3 of her stingray so me, Ashley and Stefanie were lucky enough to finish it for her hahahaha.

Overall, I think Chomp chomp's hype has died down but the food is so so. I would say East Coast's was better but then again it varies from stall to stall. But yeah, I was satisfied with the food!

Really happy to be able to finally take a break from life. Since S24 (dance competition) is coming, I've been having dance practices almost every night so it has been really exhausting for me but I believe I can pull through especially with good food and great friends around me :-) !
