So it was my birthday a couple of days ago (27th May) and would like to dedicate this post to those who remembered and actually gave me gifts. Love ya'll loads hehehehe <3.

Spent the evening at Fresh Beer hahaha, it is a legit place okay. Ate a very big pork knuckle and many other fried food, drank Weizen beer and felt so drowsy, played pool with family while laughing so hard. I swear I'm not that bad at pool, it must be the beer. Well spent birthday :'). Wanna thank my mom and dad for giving me money hahahaha and being such good parents over this 18 years of me irritating them over the littlest things.

NRA FOC'14

HELLO FABULOUS!

Can you sense the excitement? Because today I'll be talking about NRA Freshman Orientation/Bonding Camp.

Firstly, I would love to thank all our beautiful freshies in CANDOR because they are simply the most amazing and wonderful freshies any GL could ever ask for.

Secondly, I am very grateful to be placed in Candor because of the GLs which includes: Isabelle, Kai Ying, Liyana, Benedict, Candice and OGL Zeph. Super thankful that we managed to look after the freshies and bond well with one another. We may be angsty at times but its okay because we all had a lack of sleep but still managed to pull through together! It was truly a great experience.

Thirdly, thank you crew and committee for planning this amazing camp within such a limited amount of time. There were many ups and downs but ultimately, you all managed to solve the problems and come up with solutions quickly which was very admirable.

Once again, thank you NRA for giving me this wonderful experience to grow as a dancer and as a person. Also, this year's NRA freshie batch is super strong and dope. I'm really really impressed.

Are you Red-dy?

Hi Fabulous,

Yes, this post is going to be about Red Lipsticks. A girl cannot go wrong with red lipstick. Mainly because the base of our lips are already red-ish (pink). Well, there are millions of red lipsticks in the market but which ones are the best for you?

These are the 4 red lipsticks I really love and are unique in their own way.

Maybelline Colour Sensational in shade 625. Well this one has an orange undertone to it so it appears as a bright red. I got this at S$17.90 which is a pretty standard drugstore price for lipsticks. Its really moisturizing and does not make your lips crack up but its staying power is not as strong as the other lipsticks. 

Topshop Screen Siren. This shade has a dark pink base to the color. Is is almost as dark as the Revlon 250. It costs S$19 which is pretty worth the money because the staying power is fantastic and the colour looks really intense on the lips. 

Shu Uemura RD185. This shade looks really pink-ish compared to the other lipsticks on my hand but it actually looks really red on my lips. This lipstick is also the most moisturizing out of the 4. The staying power is pretty good but not the best though. BUT, it costs S$33. Oh gurl, if you love high-end products then go ahead and purchase it. Otherwise... give it a miss because it is pretty pricey for a red lipstick.

Revlon Colorburst Matte 250. This is not exactly a lipstick but it definitely works like one. The color pay off is really good. I would say this is the reddest you can get from a lip product. It stays true to its color which is a deep red. On the lips, it looks like a classic matte red. The staying power is also the best compared to the rest of the lipsticks. The only thing about this product is that when you apply, it tends to give off a very minty-blamy smell probably because of the moisturizing ingredient inside. To me personally, I don't really like products with smells in them unless it is sweet.

So if I were to rank these four lipsticks (which are already my favourite lipsticks), it will be:

1. Revlon Colorburst Matte 250
2. Shu Uemura RD185
3. Topshop Screen Siren
4. Maybelline Color Sensational 625

Grease the Musical and Singapore Dance Delight

Hey Fabulous,

I was so stoked when I found out that I could go watch Grease the Musical for free! Have to thank Ms Chong Pei Zhen and FMS for being so generous. It was such a fun and cheesy musical to watch. Loved all their dirty jokes hurhur and omg, their voices are amazing. The guys did the falsettos so perfectly and all them vibratos were so good. Why don't I have talent like that :'( .

After Grease, Isabelle, Sandra and I went to Kallang Theatre to watch Singapore Dance Delight Volume 5 Finals! Went to support the NRA teams. The $20 was so worth it, the finalists were all damn dope, my eyes were just stuck onto them the entire time. Instead of 15 teams competing, there were a total of 23, probably because of the ties here and there in the previous list.

Honestly, the competition was damn high and it was so hard to tell who'd get the top 3 placings... There's also an exception this year where instead of sending just the first place to Japan Dance Delight, they are sending 2 teams this year. So, yeah the competitors were pretty stoked.

So anyway, wanna congratulate 2nd Runner up: Freekzy Bots, 1st Runner up: Four Thirteen and Champions: Flair Origins. Flair Origins were amazing man, they really know how to look like they were having fun on stage and just swaggin', doing their thing. Quite happy that they won. Other crews that I really liked was Limited Edition (omg sex gods) and F.I.X, they are the kind of crews that even if they don't win, they will be remembered. Also all the NRA teams (Roosevelt, AOC, Freekzy Bots, Amberria, Legit X, The Gentleman Collective) did amazing!  

Overall, 10th May 2014 was a great and fulfilling day.

Mediacorp's 'We are Singaporeans 3'

Hey Fabulous,

Omg, so honoured to have been able to watch 'We are Singaporeans 3' at Mediacorp. We were even allowed to view the control rooms and radio building! It was a great experience and definitely useful for TV Production this semester. The number of state of the art equipment they have is tremendous.

So we met host, Hossan Leong, guest appearances, Pamela Oei (Dim Sum Dollies), Richard Low (actor), Benjamin Kheng (from The Sam Willows), Chua En Lai (Prime Minister from The Noose), Munah and Hirzi (YouTubers), the Muttons (987fm) and the Morning Express (Class 95fm).

The show was quite entertaining because even though there were breaks in between, the guests were still in character and it was funny when they interacted with one another. The assistant floor manager was also very funny, he always cracked dirty jokes and was not shy at all in front of so many people.

TRESemmé shizz

Hey Fabulous,

I've been using TRESemmé's Colour Protection shampoo and conditioner for a while now. It's been great, love the smell, love the texture (fluffy) and the results. So I've decided to try their other products to see if they're as good.

I purchased their heat-tamer protective spray: claims to style and protect your hair at the same time and their 24-hour root boosting spray: which is supposed to give volume especially at the roots area. Bought these two products because I use the blow dryer everyday and curling iron on certain occasions so a heat protector is a must and secondly, my hair is super flat and has no volume because it's really thin. Really hope it works out man.

So for the heat protector spray, its quite simple, just spray all over when your hair is still damp. For the root boosting spray, you'll have to spray it directly at the roots. It feels weird at first but after that you'll have to blow dry your hair while lifting your roots up.

So, after I've blowed dry my hair, I do find that my hair feels softer and more straightened due to the styling effect of the heat protectant but there was volume for like 3 minutes? and then it was gone. I don't know if it's my hair or what but my hair still remained flat after blowing my roots. That sucks because it means that my money was kinda wasted...

That marks the end of this post. Dayum, kinda wished the root boosting spray worked better. After finishing the spray I might want to buy the volume mousse instead or maybe switch to Toni & Guy hurhur.

NRA Audition 2014

Hey Fabulous,

So NRA (New Revolving Age) audition was last Saturday and wow, tons of freshies came to audition, I was there as a photographer. It was really enjoyable to take pictures and interact with the freshies. There were so many dope ones.. Every year it just keeps getting better and better. Today the results came out and those that I expected to get in got in so I'm really glad for them :). But for those that didn't make it, use this time to improve and come back next year ok?
